100 Tech Calls
The West System technical staff fields more than 10,000 phone calls annually, in addition to the inquiries which arrive by letter, fax, email, or through the door. Our most senior tech advisor, J.R. Watson, is in the useful habit of logging every 100 calls he takes, providing a "snapshot" of the customers calling him.
Here is his list of 100 call topics, gathered over the 10-day period between July 31 and August 11, 2009.

(laughing out loud) "Just Lonely" - I help do production support for our helpdesk (they call me (and others production support folks) when they have problems). We definitely need to implement a "Just Lonely" category for our calls.
